More from Pittsburgh...

Brandon just recovered some files for me, so I thought I'd put something new up. These are more pics from our trip to Pittsburgh to see Highland play in the national championship. My brother Larry, his wifey Amy, and their two girls Lucy and Jane came from Chicago. It was a fun little family reunion of sorts...We had a great time cheering the team (and Keaton:)) on to victory!

Champs!!!

We went to Pittsburgh again for rugby nationals, played United from Alpine for the title again, and won!!! I will post more pics that I took (I'm having technical difficulties) but I wanted to put a few one just to update a little...

Keaton's high tackle...it made us laugh...
That's Keaton and my niece Lucy to the left. She loves Keaton and when all the boys lined up for the trophy presentation, she told Sara that she wanted "Keader" so Sara put her down and she ran to Keaton. Very cute.

So I almost forgot to show my new floors, courtesy of my tax refund and Brandon. He did such a great job. I love it.

Ahhhh rugby season...my fave. Since this is His Royal Teen Highness's (Keaton's) last season playing for Highland, I thought I'd post some recent pics I took of him. Way to go Tween! We are so proud of your hard work!

Spring Break 2009!!!!!!! Wooooooooot!!!!!!

Since I have the schedule of a 10 year old, Brandon and I decided to take a jaunt on down to St. George and Vegas for Spring Break. We stayed at his parents' fun house in SG, then got a room at Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon. What it lacked in appearances it made up for in location and cheapness:) Excellent. We had some fun, when to the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor, and had all the access we wanted to people on the streets slapping porn cards at us trying to get us to take them. What a treat:)

So I've always wanted to eat at a buffet in Vegas, so we went searching for one and happened upon quite possibly the best one ever! It was at Planet Hollywood and was voted the 07 best Vegas buffet or something like that. So we sat down to a tremendous feast and these pageant girls started walking in with their sashes on. Turns out the Miss USA competition is going on this week. So we stopped Utah and had Brandon fulfill all his wildest fantasies by getting his picture taken with her.
We both love our sweet racks...

This was Mariana, the coolest dealer ever. She is from like the Ukraine or some Russian related place like that, and she was so awesome and would squeal when someone did well or when she would bust.

My poor baby!

So I know many of you know my little twinkie Wicky. Well, he's 11, kinda old, and we take him in every year to the vet to get his teeth cleaned. I took him in, same as usual, on Friday. Long story short- they had to extract 9 of his teeth and keep him overnight for observation. He already had 2 teeth extracted 2 years ago, so my first reaction was to ask if he had any teeth left. Turns out he does, so that's a relief. The thought of my little baby gumming his way through the rest of his life was not pretty. So I went and visited him in the hospital Friday night, he had a little doggie I.V. and everything. I picked him up Saturday morning and he's been sad and whiny from the surgery and drugs.
Then today I'm just giving him some TLC and notice the back of his neck is swollen and when you touch it, it feels like air bubbles are in his skin. So back to the vet we go! His back major chewing tooth that was abscessed (sp?) created a pocket into his nasal cavity and so it's letting air into there. Ughhhhhhh! It should most likely fix itself, but now I have to make sure his neck doesn't get crazy swollen and choke him. Fun stuff. I know I have a small obsession/attachment to my dog, and this totally blows. The poor thing has been traumatized and just wants to be cuddled all day long- which is fine by me! Done and done.
Sorry about my little self indulgence telling you all about my interesting weekend, I figured it was something new to put on this long overdue blog. HAGS!!!!
